There will be light showers in the morning with heavier rainfall arriving later in the day. Highs fall into the 50s for our daytime highs not just today but over the rest of the forecast. While the Bay Area sees multiple days of rain, expect the Sierra to be buried under feet of snowfall over the next several days. Any travel to and from the Sierra needs to wait until, at the very least, Sunday, as it will take several days for plows to clear out the anticipated 5-12 feet of snowfall that will fall on Donner Summit along Interstate 80.
