(KRON) — The San Jose Police Department is investigating a homicide Thursday on the 5000 block of Moorpark Avenue. SJPD officers initially responded to a report of a weapons disturbance that resulted in the death of a man, according to a post on X early this morning.
People were advised to avoid the area at the time. Police later updated the incident to a homicide — the ninth in 2024. SJPD describes the investigation as ongoing.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of an elementary school.
